Meet Leigh ThomasWhile just a little
girl from Tennessee, Leigh Thomashas had quite a life experience. Leigh jumped out into the world as a singer in New York City, a screenwriter for TV movies, a boardgame designer, and a world traveler.What inspired her first published book was her marriage with Fred...aka the "F word". He was not only abusive but also a con artist who bankrupted her and her company to the tune of one million dollars. Leigh considers herself a smart woman with an IQ of 149, proving that being manipulated by the man you love can really happen to anyone. They say love is blind but in this case it was just plain stupid. Her mission is to
share her story and get people talking about abuse...even if it is one
person at a time. As she often says, she's just a regular person and her
experience is sadly a common one...just an ordinary journey. Leigh met up with Jill Eikenberry and Michael Tucker at Book Bash, a Baltimore charity event for Literacy Works, where Leigh signed copies of "An Ordinary Journey"... A User's Guide to Healing from the Abuses of Sex, Drugs, Rock 'n Roll and Attempted Murder.
